Zevero acquires climate firm Inhabit

Zevero acquires Inhabit to enhance sustainability advisory services. Carbon accounting startup Zevero has acquired Inhabit, a provider of sustainability solutions, to bolster its advisory capabilities. The transaction will integrate Inhabit’s tools and services, enhancing Zevero’s platform with advanced automation and data visualisation.

Carbon accounting startup Zevero has announced its acquisition of sustainability solutions provider Inhabit. This strategic move aims to expand Zevero’s advisory capabilities and support its mission to scale sustainability delivery. Founded in 2019, Inhabit offers comprehensive tools and services that facilitate decarbonisation and net-zero strategies, including carbon measurement, reporting, and practical decarbonisation planning.

Zevero, established in 2021 and also based in the UK, equips companies with tools to comprehend and mitigate the impact of their emissions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. In 2024, Zevero was acquired by Singapore-based climate tech startup LEVELUP, merging under the Zevero brand.

The acquisition agreement ensures Zevero will support portfolios previously managed by Inhabit, with phased onboarding to maintain service continuity. Inhabit customers will gain access to Zevero’s AI-powered carbon accounting platform, which offers enhanced automation, reporting, and data visualisation capabilities.

Sam McKay, co-founder and CEO of Inhabit, stated, “Our customers will now benefit from the advanced capabilities of Zevero’s platform while maintaining the continuity and familiarity of the Inhabit team.”

George Wade, Chief Commercial Officer at Zevero, expressed, “Over the past few months, it has become clear that Sam and the Inhabit team share our commitment to helping organisations decarbonise through high-quality, practical delivery. We look forward to welcoming Inhabit’s team and customers to Zevero and continuing to deliver strong results together.”
