MaxContact names first head of people

MaxContact has created a people role to support growth plans. Hannah Holmes joins as Head of People as the Manchester software company builds leadership, culture, and organisational capability for its next phase of expansion.


The Manchester-based company, which employs around 70 people, said the appointment reflects the scale of change it has experienced over the past five years as demand for its cloud-based contact centre technology has grown. With further expansion planned, MaxContact has created a senior people leadership role to ensure its organisational design, leadership capability, and internal standards keep pace with its commercial ambitions.

The role is intended to give more structure to a business that has expanded quickly. As software companies move from growth by momentum to growth by design, questions around accountability, management capability, and succession planning become harder to leave informal. MaxContact said it recognised the need for a strategic people lead who could help align capability, culture, and organisational shape with the way the business now operates and the way it expects to scale.

Holmes joins with experience working alongside senior leaders in fast-growth and transformation settings. Her background has focused on aligning people strategy with business outcomes, developing leadership capability, and creating greater clarity around behaviours, standards, and accountability. At MaxContact, she will lead the development and delivery of the company’s people strategy, with priorities spanning leadership development, organisational design, talent and succession planning, and performance frameworks.

She will work closely with CEO Ben Booth and the senior leadership team, giving the people agenda a direct link to commercial planning rather than treating it as a separate workstream. That structure matters for a business preparing to grow further, particularly in technology markets where team design, management quality, and clarity of expectations can have a direct effect on product execution and customer delivery.
