Lucid Software has announced new artificial intelligence and productivity features designed to help companies accelerate operations and overcome barriers to AI adoption.
The Utah-based company, best known for its visual collaboration platform, said the updates strengthen its position as a leader in enterprise work acceleration. New capabilities include the launch of Lucid AI, a set of tools that allow teams to generate diagrams, summarise boards, and refine visuals directly on the platform.
“AI has the potential to transform business on a scale we haven’t seen in decades,” said Dave Grow, chief executive of Lucid Software. “Yet most enterprises aren’t fully ready to adopt it, weighed down by fragmented processes and legacy realities. That’s where Lucid is uniquely positioned to help. By simplifying documentation, aligning strategy, and enabling execution, Lucid equips enterprises to overcome the legacy barriers that slow AI adoption and ensures they can unlock measurable outcomes from AI that drive lasting business impact.”
The company is also developing a new MCP Server to connect Lucid to large language models such as Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT. This integration will allow users to run agent-driven workflows — such as searching and summarising Lucid documents or collaborating with AI systems — via natural language prompts.
Real-world deployments have already begun. Henry Ward, chief executive of Carta, said Lucid is helping the financial services platform accelerate its own AI adoption. “We use Lucid to map out complex workflows, which gives us a shared view of what we’re building,” Ward said. “It makes it easy to iterate early and move fast without a heavy engineering lift. We’re also using it to help train AI agents to run workflows inside Carta.”
Beyond AI, Lucid announced expanded functionality across its accelerators, which are tailored solutions for documenting workflows, managing cloud environments, and supporting agile planning.
- The Process Accelerator now includes expanded governance and standardisation tools, with private repositories and reusable assets.
- The Cloud Accelerator generates up-to-date diagrams from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments, and now supports blueprints and data source sharing.
- The Agility Accelerator helps teams plan and execute across agile frameworks, with new features for capacity and scenario planning.
Lucid also introduced upgrades to its Visual Collaboration Suite, such as assisted layouts that automatically organise complex diagrams, enhanced note and feedback features, and new collapsible diagram functionality.
The platform has further integrated airfocus, a product management tool acquired earlier this year. New capabilities include insight scoring, enhanced grouping and swimlanes, and expanded Lucid Cards for capturing roadmap data and key results.
Together, the developments reflect Lucid’s broader ambition to become what it calls an “intelligent work acceleration platform,” blending human creativity with AI execution to deliver measurable business outcomes at scale.
