Social media agency GH05T has announced it is scaling its reputation offering with a dedicated focus on Reddit, arguing that the platform is playing a growing role in how audiences form opinions about brands, and in how those narratives travel through search and AI-led discovery.
The agency framed the move as a response to changing online behaviour, where credibility is shaped less by brand-owned claims and more by public, peer discussion. GH05T said that, as AI becomes an intermediary for how information is accessed, narratives that gain traction in open forums can influence how organisations are represented in AI-driven summaries and search experiences.
Under the expanded offer, GH05T said it will prioritise Reddit as a source of “unfiltered sentiment at scale”, using what it described as cultural fluency, pattern recognition, and strategic judgement to interpret discussion trends. The agency’s stated aim is to help clients understand how conversations evolve, where misconceptions emerge, and which themes resonate — so brands can decide when to engage, when to clarify, and when to adapt decision-making in line with what audiences are actually saying.
Natalie Walmsley, Platform and Reputation Director at GH05T, said: “As AI search reshapes how brands are perceived, reputation is increasingly formed in open, peer-led environments such as Reddit, which is now one of the most influential platforms shaping trust to date. At GH05T, we work with highly regulated brands where credibility is non-negotiable. Ensuring our clients understand and act on the conversations happening on Reddit is essential to protecting and strengthening that trust”.
The emphasis on Reddit also reflects the platform’s wider momentum in both usage and visibility. In its Q4 and full-year 2025 results, Reddit reported daily active uniques (DAUq) of 121.4 million, up 19% year-on-year, alongside sharply higher quarterly revenue.
Independent research suggests the audience is broadening. Pew Research Center reported that 26% of U.S. adults said they use Reddit, up from 18% in 2021. Among 18–29-year-olds, Pew reported 48% said they use the platform, underlining its strength with younger audiences.
For communications teams, the more immediate aim is often discoverability. Reddit received 1.2 billion referrals from Google Search in April 2025, up from around 600 million in April 2024. The metric is a proxy for how frequently Reddit threads surface in response to queries that people might once have expected to resolve through brand websites, publishers, or dedicated review platforms.
Reddit has also become more directly linked to the AI ecosystem itself. In 2024, Reddit entered a content-licensing agreement with Google, valued at about $60 million per year, to allow Google to use Reddit data for training AI models.
GH05T’s announcement positions Reddit monitoring as a core reputation discipline rather than a standalone community management task — particularly for organisations operating in regulated sectors, where claims, customer experience, and trust signals may be scrutinised closely, and where a single thread can remain searchable long after the initial post.
