Pharmacy2U earns B Corp certification for social impact

Pharmacy2U becomes the UK’s only online pharmacy to hold B Corp status. The certification recognises the Leeds-based company’s social and environmental commitments and strong performance in customer wellbeing, employee engagement, and governance.


Pharmacy2U has become the UK’s only online pharmacy to gain B Corp status. The Leeds-based company joins a global movement of businesses meeting high standards of social and environmental responsibility.

The certification, announced on 8 December 2025, recognises Pharmacy2U’s performance across five impact areas — governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. The company scored 91.4 points out of 200 on the B Impact Assessment, where the median is 55 and certification requires a minimum 80. Its strongest performance was in the customers category, demonstrating positive health outcomes and patient engagement.

Chief Executive Officer Kevin Heath said the recognition reflects the company’s sustained focus on purpose-led growth. “This important milestone reflects our long-standing commitment to being a force for good in the UK’s critical national pharmacy sector,” he said. “It validates the work our teams do every day to deliver on sustainability, people, and planet.”

Pharmacy2U said its B Corp certification builds on years of internal progress in employee wellbeing, customer feedback, and community impact. The business has retained its Great Place To Work certification for two consecutive years and established a cross-functional committee to encourage employee feedback and volunteering. Internal initiatives include Menopause Cafes and men’s health forums to promote workplace inclusion.

The company continues to strengthen engagement with its customers through regular communication and service development. Pharmacy2U has received more than 612,000 reviews on Trustpilot and holds an “excellent” overall rating, with customer suggestions frequently implemented.

Chief People Officer Laura Turnbull, who leads the company’s ESG strategy, said the certification was the result of a collaborative effort. “Leading our ESG strategy and achieving B Corp certification … has been a truly collaborative and cross-functional effort,” she said. “I’m incredibly proud of how committed we are as a business to improving the lives of our people, patients, and the planet.”

The company plans to build on its current framework ahead of 2026, when the number of B Corp impact areas is set to increase from five to seven. The development will enable further integration of ESG principles into all parts of the business.
