Position Green unveils new ROI calculator

Position Green unveils ROI Calculator for decarbonisation investment analysis. The new tool helps companies measure financial and emissions impact, offering metrics like ROI, NPV, and payback period. It supports decision-making by linking environmental impact to business value.

Position Green, a sustainability software and advisory firm, has launched the ROI Calculator, a tool designed to assist companies in quantifying the financial and emissions impact of their decarbonisation investments.

Developed using a financial model by Associate Professor Rickard Sandberg from the Stockholm School of Economics, the solution translates climate investments into measurable business outcomes, including return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), payback period, emissions impact, and potential carbon tax savings.

The tool allows users to select an investment type, define assumptions, and adjust cost drivers. It automatically models financial and emissions impacts based on these inputs, providing metrics such as ROI, NPV, payback period, carbon tax savings, and emissions impact. This interactive tool enables companies to test various decarbonisation scenarios and instantly see how changes in inputs affect financial outcomes. It supports more informed decision-making and helps build stronger internal business cases for climate and sustainability investments.

Daniel Gadd, Co-founder and CEO of Position Green, stated, “Many companies understand the strategic importance of sustainability, but struggle to translate it into financial terms. The ROI Calculator is designed to help sustainability and finance teams speak the same language — connecting environmental impact directly to business value and investment decisions.”

Inflation is creeping back through services

Service-sector inflation is returning through contracts, transport, and energy bills. March data suggest companies are absorbing faster cost increases while demand, pricing power, and confidence soften.

  • Data sovereignty becomes a capital question

Data sovereignty becomes a capital question

Data infrastructure decisions now sit beside debt, power, and politics. TikTok’s Finnish expansion and wider financing moves show sovereignty is now a capital-allocation issue, not just a compliance one.

  • Rewards gap leaves workers feeling overlooked

Rewards gap leaves workers feeling overlooked

Modest rewards still matter, but access remains sharply uneven nationwide. GCVA says gift cards can boost morale and loyalty, yet part-time workers and public sector staff are far less likely to receive them.
