Nuveen, a global investment manager, has appointed Costas Papamantellos as Head of Energy Transition Investments within its Clean Energy Infrastructure team. This move is part of Nuveen’s recent launch of a Global Infrastructure Investment Platform, which combines various infrastructure-focused teams. The platform integrates the Clean Energy Infrastructure, Diversified Infrastructure, and Digital Infrastructure equity teams, along with Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit and Nuveen Green Capital, which focuses on sustainable commercial real estate financing solutions.

Papamantellos brings over 17 years of experience from his tenure at German power producer RWE, where he served as Managing Director & Head of Energy Transition Investments. He was also Chairman & CEO at RWE Renewables Hellas, a joint venture responsible for developing 1.5 GW of solar photovoltaic projects.

Located in London, Papamantellos will report to Joost Bergsma, Global Head of Clean Energy at Nuveen.
