Giant Ventures, the London-based venture capital firm specialising in sustainability technology, has announced the appointment of Zenetta Burger as Partner. Burger will be responsible for spearheading the firm’s U.S. operations. Founded in 2019, Giant Ventures supports technology founders with solutions aimed at addressing global challenges, focusing on investments at Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series B stages across Europe and the U.S. The firm’s key areas of interest include climate, health, and inclusive capitalism.
The appointment comes as Giant Ventures prepares for its next series of fund launches. Burger is tasked with expanding the investment team in the U.S. and identifying leading founders in the region. She has already led two investments, one in the energy sector and another in robotics.
Burger brings a wealth of experience to Giant Ventures, having previously worked as an Investor at Anthos Capital, a venture capital firm with a focus on consumer and technology sectors. She also served as a Venture Partner at Social Venture Partners, a philanthropic network. Her past roles include Head of Operations at SMS engagement platform Community.com, Investor at Mucker Capital, VC Director at HR solutions provider TriNet, and a position in Mergers & Acquisitions at KPMG, concentrating on Media and Technology.
In a social media post, Burger expressed enthusiasm about her new role, stating it is an exciting time to join Giant Ventures ahead of the new fund launches and U.S. team expansion.
