Position Green acquires Factlines to enhance sustainability platform. The acquisition aims to bolster Position Green’s comprehensive sustainability platform, integrating supply chain transparency and human rights due diligence capabilities to meet growing corporate and regulatory demands….

Position Green, a sustainability software and advisory firm, has announced the acquisition of Factlines, a provider of supply chain transparency and human rights due diligence solutions. This acquisition is the latest step in Position Green’s strategy to establish a comprehensive sustainability platform. Recent acquisitions include ESG reporting and compliance provider Greenomy and carbon management software provider Morescope.

Joachim Nahem, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Position Green, stated that the future of sustainable business transformation lies in integration, where climate, nature, people, and governance converge into a unified strategy. Position Green aims to facilitate this integration.

Factlines, founded in 2012 in Oslo, offers solutions for companies to identify and manage ESG and operational risks across their supply chains, supporting compliance with standards such as the EU’s upcoming EUDR and CSDDD. The acquisition also sees Arendals Fossekompani (AFK), an industrial investment company that acquired a majority stake in Factlines in 2022, becoming a shareholder in Position Green and reinvesting in the firm.

Benjamin Golding, CEO of Arendals Fossekompani, expressed confidence in Position Green’s potential to scale and become a leading international platform, emphasising the opportunity for long-term value creation.

Position Green highlights the acquisition as timely, given the growing corporate focus on supply chain resilience and accountability, while ESG providers help integrate sustainability into business strategies amidst regulatory challenges in the EU.

Nahem added that acquiring Factlines is a natural extension of Position Green’s strategy to consolidate the market and build a leading European sustainability platform. The partnership with Arendals Fossekompani strengthens their mission towards a sustainable economy.

Factlines plans to continue developing its Supplier Relationship Management platform, enhancing automation, AI features, APIs, and third-party data to improve supply chain performance and compliance. This acquisition brings an additional 200 customers to Position Green’s existing 800.

Henrik Halvorsen, CEO of Factlines, expressed enthusiasm about joining Position Green to expand their impact, helping companies manage and improve the social and environmental footprint of their value chains and address specific risks for long-term resilience.
