Brillian UK, a subsidiary of Canada’s Constellation Software via its Omegro group, has completed the £7.8 million acquisition of West Midlands-based telematics specialist Trakm8 Holdings. The transaction, sanctioned under a UK court scheme of arrangement, became effective on 9 July 2025. Trakm8’s shares will be delisted from AIM at 07:00 on 10 July.
Trakm8, which provides telematics, analytics, and connected camera solutions to UK fleets, reported a 20% revenue fall in FY-24 amid sector headwinds. The acquisition price equates to 0.48× FY-24 sales, a notable discount to industry norms, reflecting both Trakm8’s losses and prevailing UK micro-cap valuations.
Constellation, which has spent over $1.7 billion on acquisitions in 2024, continues its push into UK transport tech through Omegro. The deal brings proprietary telematics IP and cross-selling opportunities across Constellation’s logistics businesses.
The purchase highlights ongoing public-to-private migration in the UK tech sector, with Trakm8 the 24th AIM tech company to exit via takeover since early 2024.
