Nordea AM hires two sustainable investing managers

Nordea Asset Management appoints two new portfolio managers. The appointments join its Sustainable Thematic Team, which manages over €18 billion across various climate and impact strategies.


Nordea Asset Management, an asset manager based in Northern Europe, has announced the appointment of Kasper From Larsen and Rachel Reutter as portfolio managers within its Sustainable Thematic Team. This team oversees more than €18 billion in assets across various climate and impact strategies, including climate solutions, transition portfolios, and traditional impact strategies. The team now comprises 15 investment professionals, including eight portfolio managers located in Copenhagen, London, and Singapore.

Kasper From Larsen joins Nordea following over 11 years at Danske Bank Asset Management, where he held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager. His responsibilities included sectors such as energy, utilities, infrastructure, and materials. In his new role at Nordea, he will contribute to existing and potential climate investment strategies.

Rachel Reutter comes to Nordea after more than 13 years at J O Hambro Capital Management. She was most recently the lead Portfolio Manager for the JOHCM UK Opportunities Fund, an equity portfolio with a focus on ESG integration and corporate engagement. Reutter will focus on Nordea’s impact strategies, including the Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund.

Both new portfolio managers will report to Thomas Sørensen and Henning Padberg, co-heads of Nordea’s Sustainable Thematic Team. Sørensen remarked, “Kasper and Rachel bring complementary skill sets and a shared commitment to high-quality sustainable investing. Their extensive experience and strong analytical capabilities will reinforce the team’s ability to deliver long-term, impact-driven results for our clients.”
