Node4 co-founder becomes Communicate Technology CEO

Paul Bryce appointed CEO of Communicate Technology for growth. The Teesside-based firm aims to expand its cybersecurity and IT network solutions. Backed by private equity, it has achieved significant growth and plans further scaling under Bryce’s leadership.

Communicate Technology has announced the appointment of Paul Bryce as its new CEO, as the company seeks to capitalise on a period of rapid growth following recent acquisitions and private equity investment.

The Teesside-headquartered firm, which specialises in cybersecurity and IT network solutions for organisations across the UK, reported a 102% year-on-year growth. This success is attributed in part to the integration of Blaze Networks, acquired last year, and investment from Rockpool in 2024.

Bryce, who brings over 30 years of experience in the managed service provider sector, was a founding member of Node4. During his tenure in senior leadership roles there, he played a crucial role in scaling the business to over 1,100 employees and £190 million in annual revenues, overseeing 10 acquisitions and three rounds of private equity investment.

In his new role at Communicate, Bryce will focus on long-term value creation, strategy, and culture to drive the company’s next phase of growth.

Tony Snaith, founder and outgoing group CEO, will remain on the board as a non-executive director. Snaith expressed confidence in Bryce’s ability to lead the business through its next chapter, citing his proven track record in guiding organisations through high-growth phases. Bryce stated that his focus will be on purposeful scaling, strategy development, and fostering an environment where both teams and customers can thrive.

Communicate’s growth strategy through 2026 will prioritise scaling its core networks business, delivering secure, intelligent multi-site connectivity for organisations operating across distributed and hybrid working environments. The company currently maintains a national presence with offices in Teesside, Leeds, York, Macclesfield, and Kent.
