Insights launches Microsoft Teams personality intelligence integration

Insights launches Microsoft Teams personality insights meeting integration tool today. New Teams app embeds Insights Discovery personality intelligence into everyday workplace meetings.

The new application enables users who already hold an Insights Discovery profile to compare their communication style with colleagues during a Teams call. The system then generates practical suggestions designed to help participants adjust their approach in real time.

The move embeds personality intelligence within everyday digital collaboration tools, reflecting a broader shift toward behavioural insights and self-awareness platforms as organisations seek to improve team performance and workplace communication.

Insights Discovery is a personality development platform used by organisations globally to support leadership development, team effectiveness, and employee engagement. The platform uses a colour-based model of behavioural preferences to help individuals understand their own working style and that of others.

The Microsoft Teams integration marks the first time these insights can be accessed directly within the workflow of a meeting environment.

Employees participating in a Teams meeting can open the application to see personality style indicators for colleagues who also hold Insights profiles. The system then provides tailored communication guidance — including suggested behaviours and practical “dos and don’ts” for engaging with each participant.

Fiona Logan, CEO of Insights, said: “We are delighted to launch Insights Discovery for Microsoft Teams. This marks a pivotal moment in how we help people understand themselves and each other in real time. By bringing the language of colour and the power of human connection directly into the flow of everyday teamwork, we’re enabling individuals, leaders and organisations to collaborate with more awareness, compassion and purpose.

“This innovation is other step toward creating a world where people truly understand themselves and others and are inspired to make a positive difference in everything they do.”

The application also allows users to compare Insights Discovery profiles with a single click, offering a side-by-side view of communication preferences between colleagues. At a broader level, teams can access aggregated insights highlighting shared behavioural strengths and potential areas for improved collaboration.

The functionality is designed to reinforce learning from leadership and development programmes by embedding behavioural awareness into daily working interactions.

Logan added: “The development of Insights Discovery for Microsoft Teams strengthens everything that already makes Insights special – complementing our world-class learning experiences and helping keep Insights Discovery learning alive well beyond the workshop.

“It allows learning to become an everyday habit, not a one-off moment, ensuring people can continually deepen their self-awareness and apply it where it matters most: in real conversations, critical decisions and impactful work.”

The launch reflects growing demand among organisations for digital tools that support more effective collaboration across hybrid and distributed teams. As video meetings and online communication become embedded in everyday working life, technology companies and leadership development platforms are increasingly focusing on tools that help employees adapt their communication style to different personalities and working preferences.

By integrating behavioural insights directly into meeting software, Insights aims to make personality-driven communication guidance accessible at the moment it is needed — inside real workplace conversations rather than solely in training environments.

Service-sector inflation is returning through contracts, transport, and energy bills. March data suggest companies are absorbing faster cost increases while demand, pricing power, and confidence soften.

Data sovereignty becomes a capital question

Data infrastructure decisions now sit beside debt, power, and politics. TikTok’s Finnish expansion and wider financing moves show sovereignty is now a capital-allocation issue, not just a compliance one.

Modest rewards still matter, but access remains sharply uneven nationwide. GCVA says gift cards can boost morale and loyalty, yet part-time workers and public sector staff are far less likely to receive them.
