Haiilo makes Manchester UK growth hub

Haiilo is expanding Manchester as its fastest-growing regional UK office. The employee experience platform has increased headcount more than sixfold since 2024, alongside UK ARR growth of 55% and a 60% rise in customer numbers.


Haiilo is expanding its Manchester operation as the employee experience platform accelerates UK growth and strengthens its regional base for product development and customer support.

The company said Manchester has become its fastest-growing regional office, with headcount increasing more than sixfold since 2024. The office is now central to Haiilo’s UK expansion, following a period of hiring, customer growth, and rising demand from organisations seeking simpler digital workplace systems.

Across the wider business, Haiilo has made 98 hires globally over the past two years, including 51 in the last 12 months. UK headcount increased by 30 over the same period, after Andrew Avanessian was appointed CEO in 2024.

Commercial momentum in the UK has also accelerated. Haiilo reported annual recurring revenue growth of 55% and a 60% increase in customer numbers over the past year, with demand strongest across professional services, financial services, and healthcare.

Those sectors often run complex internal systems across distributed workforces, regulated processes, and large volumes of operational knowledge. As a result, employee experience platforms are increasingly expected to reduce friction between communication, knowledge access, workflow, and engagement.

Alongside external growth, Haiilo has reported strong internal retention and progression. The business said gross retention stood at 93% and net retention at 105%, while 13 internal promotions were completed in 2025 and a further 17 in 2026.

The company has also invested £25 million globally into facilities, technology, and talent, while expanding its leadership team with the appointment of a chief technology and product officer. The investment supports a platform strategy built around what Haiilo describes as a “digital home” for employees, bringing knowledge, tools, community, and communication into one environment.

Workplace technology has moved beyond the rapid digitisation phase that followed the shift to hybrid and distributed work. Many organisations now face a different problem: employees have access to more tools than ever, but the surrounding experience can be fragmented, noisy, and difficult to navigate.

That creates operational pressure as well as cultural strain. Poorly connected systems can slow onboarding, duplicate communication, obscure important updates, and make it harder for employees to find accurate information. In knowledge-heavy or regulated sectors, the quality of internal communication can directly affect productivity, compliance, and service delivery.

Manchester’s growing role within Haiilo also reflects the city’s continuing strength as a technology employment base outside London. With a deeper regional team, the company is positioning its UK operation closer to customers while drawing on a local labour market that has become increasingly important to software, digital transformation, and enterprise technology businesses.

As employers continue to scrutinise software spend and employee productivity, platforms that can consolidate workplace communication and knowledge access will face a higher bar. Growth will depend on whether they can reduce complexity rather than add another layer to already crowded digital work environments.
