Greenpark has appointed Caloy Sambrano as managing director for APAC as the digital content agency expands its regional growth strategy around AI discoverability, creator intelligence, and insourcing.
Sambrano will report to Sven Lung, Greenpark’s CEO, and will oversee the agency’s APAC client portfolio. His brief includes leading new business and regional growth as brands invest in visibility across AI powered search and discovery platforms.
The appointment places an experienced agency leader into a newly configured role at a point when marketing teams are rethinking how content is discovered, ranked, and recommended. Sambrano joins from Ogilvy Philippines, where he served as managing director. He has also held roles at Grey Philippines, Dentsu JaymeSyfu, and BBDO China.
Greenpark said Sambrano has won multiple awards for creativity and effectiveness, including the Philippines’ first Cannes Lions Grand Prix. The agency said the appointment comes as it continues international growth and sees rising APAC demand for specialist expertise in AI led content strategies.
Chris Pearce, group managing director at Greenpark, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Caloy to Greenpark as Managing Director for APAC. He brings extensive agency experience and deep market knowledge at a pivotal moment for our business. As demand for AI-led discovery continues to grow, he will play a key role in accelerating our ambitions across the region and helping clients stay ahead of a rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
Sambrano said: “I’ve spent my career helping brands tell stories that shape culture. What excites me about Greenpark is the opportunity to now help brands succeed in a new era of AI-powered discovery. The region is moving quickly, and I’m looking forward to working with our clients and teams to help them stay ahead.”
The appointment reflects a broader marketing shift towards discovery architecture. Search, social platforms, retail media, marketplaces, creators, and large language models now form a more complex system for brand visibility. Companies that once optimised separately for Google search, social engagement, and paid media are trying to understand how AI systems interpret brand authority, product information, and consumer intent.
Greenpark’s website positions the agency around AI visibility and creator intelligence, with services spanning content strategy, omnichannel search, social search, digital PR, technical SEO, website management, UX and UI design, paid media, and conversational AI. Its proposition sits inside a market where brand discovery depends increasingly on the quality, structure, and credibility of content across multiple touchpoints.
Digital advertising is already being tied more directly to commercial outcomes. In Co-op links search ads to store sales, online advertising was connected to offline transactions, showing how performance measurement is becoming more granular. Greenpark’s appointment points to a different part of the same change: visibility is being judged not only by impressions or rankings, but by whether content can influence discovery, trust, and conversion across digital and AI mediated journeys.
APAC is a natural focus for that development. The region contains fast growing digital commerce markets, high social platform usage, strong creator economies, mobile first consumer behaviour, and significant language and cultural complexity. Brands operating across Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Australia, and other APAC markets need content systems that can adapt to local discovery behaviour without fragmenting brand governance.
AI discovery adds another layer. Large language models and AI search products may compress the consumer journey by answering questions directly, comparing products, and recommending brands before a customer reaches a website. That makes structured content, authority signals, review ecosystems, technical hygiene, and off site references more commercially significant.
Consumer trust in autonomous commerce is already under pressure. In AI shopping agents face trust barrier, the challenge was whether consumers would rely on automated systems to find and buy products. The same tension applies to brand discovery: visibility without trust may not convert, while trust without machine readable presence may not be surfaced.
Sambrano’s appointment signals an agency market built increasingly around integrated discovery strategy, where creative storytelling, data, search, creator partnerships, technical infrastructure, and AI visibility sit within the same commercial discipline.
