Convergint opens central London security hub

Convergint has opened a central London base for UK growth. The Victoria office strengthens its access to customers, partners, colleagues, and community initiatives across the capital.


Convergint has opened a new central London office in Victoria, strengthening its UK presence as part of a wider European growth strategy.

The service based systems integration company said the office will give it a more central base for customers, partners, and colleagues, supporting work with organisations across London and the wider UK.

The opening was marked on 25 June with an event bringing together customers, technology partners, community representatives, and senior Convergint leaders, including members of the company’s global and European executive teams.

From Victoria, Convergint is positioned close to Westminster, major transport links, embassies, commercial buildings, and customer sites across the capital. The company said the location supports its focus on combining global capability with local presence and responsive, relationship-led support.

Matthew Coulson, UK General Manager at Convergint, said: “Our new London office gives us a stronger base from which to support customers across the capital and the wider UK. Being located in such a central part of the city means we can be closer to many of the organisations we work with, better connected to our partners, and more available to the people and places that rely on our service every day.

“For our colleagues, it also creates a highly accessible space where teams can come together, collaborate and continue building the culture that underpins the way we support our customers.”

The office opens as Convergint marks 25 years since its founding. The company now has more than 11,000 colleagues across more than 220 locations worldwide. The London investment follows the opening of Convergint’s new global headquarters in the Chicago area last year.

Security systems integration has become more operationally demanding as large organisations connect physical security, workplace technology, monitoring, cyber considerations, and emergency response. Access control, video, alarms, visitor management, data, and building systems increasingly need to operate as part of a coherent estate rather than a collection of separate installations.

London presents a particularly dense market for that kind of work. Public institutions, transport hubs, multinational headquarters, embassies, property owners, critical services, and mixed-use estates all face overlapping demands around safety, business continuity, employee access, customer movement, and incident response.

Customers are also trying to modernise security environments without repeatedly replacing entire technology estates. That creates demand for partners able to integrate legacy systems with newer tools, maintain service standards across multiple sites, and keep installations compliant, interoperable, and secure over time.

Convergint’s new office also has a community component. Representatives from London Air Ambulance attended the opening event as the company develops its relationship with the charity, whose work across the capital aligns with Convergint’s focus on safety, technology, rapid response, and protecting people.

The London opening follows Convergint’s recent UK participation in its global STEP Up programme, which supports schools and communities through security technology, volunteerism, and charitable activity. As part of this year’s programme, Convergint delivered a project in Kent to help improve safety and security for a local school, forming part of wider activity across Europe and globally.

The investment also fits a broader pattern in service-led technology markets. Companies with global scale are trying to remain close enough to customers to provide responsive support, while local teams need access to wider technical expertise, procurement relationships, and delivery standards. In safety and security systems, that balance can determine whether technology investment translates into dependable operations.

London’s commercial property and infrastructure landscape has been reshaped by hybrid working, changing footfall, new occupier expectations, and rising concern over resilience. Building owners and enterprise customers are assessing how security systems interact with visitor management, energy use, emergency response, compliance, and employee experience.

The Victoria office will serve as a central London base for Convergint’s UK team, supporting customer engagement, partner collaboration, colleague connection, and future community initiatives.
