Clevertouch launches academy for martech skills

Clevertouch is formalising martech training as complexity deepens industrywide further. Its new lovemartech Academy combines platform training, research, and university-backed collaboration for marketing teams under pressure to get more from existing systems.

The academy combines expert-led training, structured learning pathways, research, and industry collaboration in one platform. Clevertouch said members will be able to access courses led by its certified specialists, who collectively hold more than 140 platform certifications across technologies including Adobe Journey Optimizer, Marketo, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The offer also includes priority invitations to events, workshops, and webinars.

The launch arrives with a research partnership as well. Clevertouch is working with the University of Stirling through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership to expand the scale and depth of its independent martech research. The collaboration builds on the company’s existing work with Professor Rob Angell on the State of Martech study and is intended to generate a stronger evidence base around how organisations are adopting and using marketing technology.

Chris Fowler, Director of Research & Enablement at Clevertouch Consulting, said: “Marketing technology continues to evolve rapidly, but many organisations struggle to keep skills and knowledge up to date. The lovemartech Academy brings together training, research and community to help marketers build the capabilities they need to get more value from their martech investments. By combining certified platform training with independent research and academic collaboration, we’re creating a space where marketing teams can continuously develop their skills and stay ahead in a fast-moving martech landscape.”

The academy reflects a broader market problem. Martech budgets have expanded over the past decade, but capability gaps often persist long after platforms are bought and implemented. A training model tied to research and peer learning suggests Clevertouch is positioning the academy as both a commercial extension of its enablement work and a response to the skills burden that comes with increasingly layered marketing systems.
